Wiman offers a broad range of flexible thermoplastic films, rigid thermoplastic films and film laminates. Wiman’s extensive polymer portfolio includes:

Films can be produced in thicknesses ranging from 0.002 to 0.187 inch (0.013 to 4.750 mm) and widths up to 60 inches (1,524 mm).

Wiman uses a flat die extrusion process to allow the production of pinhole-free film, even at the thinnest gauges. The process also allows us to create laminates in a single inline pass, eliminating the need for adhesives, and the potential “hand” and contamination issues that adhesives can create. Wiman is also expert at producing thin, rigid films to extremely tight tolerances and outstanding edge-to-edge consistency.

Wiman’s technical expertise, often in conjunction with that of our parent, custom compounder RTP Company, allows us to engineer high value engineered properties into the film, including:

• Color
• Electrostatic dissipative
• Conductive
• Flame retardant
• UV resistance

These properties are available individually or in combination. In addition, we have extensive experience at meeting biocompatibility standards such as USP Class VI and ISO 10993.

We are known for friendly, dedicated customer service and FAST turnaround on quotations, samples and orders. Lead times are often as fast as 2-3 weeks. We require only 2500 pound (~1100 kg) minimum production orders on most materials, and can provide smaller sample quantities as we work with you on start-up and development projects. We even provide toll manufacturing services, enabling you to produce high quality film from your proprietary or specialized materials.
