Gusseted Lay Flat Bags

A Gusseted Lay Flat Bag is a plastic bag with a triangle shaped pleat on both sides of the bag. These gussets allow the bag to expand out, giving more room for bulky, big, or square items. The gusset is considered to be the depth of the bag. For example, a 6″ x 3″ x 7″ bag would be 6 inches wide by 3 inches deep by 7 inches long.

Side Seal Bags

Side Seal Bags are bags that have the seals on the side instead of the bottom. They are measured width x length (both in inches).

Wicketed/Staple Pack Bags

Wicketed/staple pack bags are bags that are held together by either a wire wicket or a cardboard header Staple Pack. This type of bag is measured the same as a lay flat bag but there is also a lip measurement. Staple pack bags have a perforated lip. These are used in high volume, semi-automated packaging applications, small parts packaging, and food service.

Preopened bags on a Roll

Preopened bags on a roll are designed to run on automated and semi-automated bagging equipment. These bags are used mostly for small parts.

Gusseted Tubing

Gusseted tubing is tubing with pleats on each side allowing the tubing to expand beyond its lay flat width. The gusset is considered to be the depth of the tube. For example a 8″ x 4″ x 500′ tube would be 8 inches wide by 4 inches deep by 500 feet long.

Double Wound Sheeting

Double wound sheeting (DWS) is sheeting wound up 2 layers thick on a roll. Sheeting is measured width x length. The width is in inches and the length is in feet.

Center Slit Sheeting

+ Details

Center slit sheeting is gusseted tubing with a slit down the center of one layer of film. It is measured the same as the gusseted tubing. The slit down the middle allows the sheeting to open up to a flat sheet. For example, a 25″ x 15″ x 100′ center slit sheeting will open up to be a sheet that is 80″ wide by 100′ long.

Bags on a Roll (BOR)

Bags on a roll (BOR), also described as perfed on roll bags (POR), are bags that are wound on 3″ diameter core. They come in 2 varieties: Open-end first or sealed-end first. By default, we produce bags open-end first.

Envelope Bags

+ Details

Envelope Bags are side seal bags where the width is larger than the length. They are measured width x length (both in inches). These are used mostly for large items like furniture or caskets.

Reclosable Bags

+ Details

Reclosable Bags (Zipper Bags) Bags are closed at the top by squeezing the interlocking zipper together. Many brand names such as ZipLock, Reloc, or Minigrip describe this type of bag. Applications include small parts, medical, or food service.

Tubing

+ Details

Tubing is measured width (in inches) by length (in feet). Tubing can also be perforated at specific intervals, without seals. This perforated tubing is referred to as sleeves.

Single Wound Sheeting

+ Details

Single Wound Sheeting (SWS) is sheeting wound up as a single layer. These must be ordered in even numbers (12 rolls, 22 Rolls, 100 Rolls…) Sheeting is measured width (in inches) x length (in feet). This can also be ordered as POR sheets (measured width in inches by length in inches)

C-Fold Sheeting

+ Details

C-Fold Sheeting is sheeting that is folded in half and wound up on a roll. It is measured width (in inches) x length (in feet). For example, 12″ x 100′ C-Fold Sheeting will open up to a sheet that is 24″ x 100′ Sheeting This can also be ordered as POR C-Fold Sheets (measured width in inches by length in inches).
